| Introduction | Intrepid spirit who probably belongs on Sapelo Island but finds herself living in a cabin in the mountains of north georgia on a little whitewater river. For now, making my way on this planet as a family nurse practitioner in a non-profit community clinic...when I'm not busy with equally important work watching shadows and light among hemlocks while sitting on my back porch in a creaky rocking chair. This journal has no particular theme, it's a place for random and some not-so-random musings about this Appalachian community; stay connected to friends and family who reach from coast to coast, try to 'live out the questions' as author Sue Hubbell so rightly phrased it. I will not stray into politics but cannot say the same about all things science and the environment. Ed is watching and I want to make him proud. |
