Introduction	Sisters of the Desert Sun was established in 2004 as a progressive book club with a mission that includes exploring literature to encourage a shared dialogue which will inspire intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth. To date the group has enjoyed authors from around the world. We have journeyed through fear, courage, mourning, joy, oppression and triumph. We have increased our understanding of culture from personal and historical perspectives.
Favorite Movies	In addition to our literary selections, Sisters of the Desert Sun has enjoyed the following films: "Black Orpheus", "Othello", "Their Eyes Were Watching God"
Favorite Books	Every book we read is a favorite!
