| Introduction | We are family of five – Dad, Masa, Japanese; Mum, Stacey, Australian and our three crazy midgets, Kai (10), Ren (7) and Nao (4). We are about to embark on a massive adventure, moving to Japan for at least a couple of years. We are settled here in Melbourne: our own home, jobs, school, family, friends, the Collingwood Football Club. But we want to live life without regrets and give the boys an opportunity we never did – to live overseas! This blog will be a family effort, a record of the ups and (hopefully few!) downs of our trip. The boys will be updating their thoughts, drawings and pictures of their time to share with the family, friends, school mates and maybe some interested strangers. The name is a dedication to the question I am always asked “Can your kids speak Japanese?” and the looks of general horror on peoples faces when I say “No!” |
