Introduction I'm a published writer making a living in the business world. I have an MBA, MPS, and MFA in Writing. In 2007-2008 I was the Writer-in-Residence for a large univiersity. I love writing, reading, movies, my family and friends, NYC, art, and travel.
Interests Writing, going to NYC, reading about NYC, reading, art, great movies, Game of Thrones, talking with friends.
Favorite Movies Field of Dreams, The Hours, You've Got Mail, The Devil Wears Prada, SATC. Star Trek, Bridget Jones's Diary, 13 Days, Signs. Movies with a good plot and believable characters I can pull for. Movies that are funny because of the clever writing, but not too much slapstick and please, no bathroom humor unless it's original and integral to the storyline. Movies that are scary because they're written to be scary, not gory. I am usually disappointed by movies taken from books, but the ones I've mentioned above are exceptions. TV: The Good Wife (at least before they killed Will), SATC, Friends, Law & Order, Grey's Anatomy, The Big Bang Theory. SNL, Jon Stewart, and Salem. Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the Narnia series. I don't watch reality TV and watch less TV all the time. I used to be a news junkie but not so much anymore.
Favorite Music Rock and pop. U2. 1970s and 1980s classic rock. Some classical, opera, and new age. Movie Soundtracks, especially movie scores.
Favorite Books Anything by Alice Hoffman. Ann Patchett. All my writing friends. I've read Barbara Michaels since I was a teenager. Janice Holt Giles's The Believers has been part of my life since I was 16 or 17. The Mercy of Thin Air by Ronlyn Domingue blew me away.
