| Introduction | My friend Dave had a blog. His "About" page read: "Does anyone read these things? I do, it occurs to me. I have often found myself on a blog 'About' page. They are mystifying things, often. Rambling. They express a mission statement that the blogger just had one time, what they imagined they wanted to do with the blog. Aspirational standards that are absurd in the cold light. Unlike those other blogs, we, the single lone blogger writes, we will aim to give you XYZ every day. I promise nothing. . . . I’m everything you wish you didn’t want in a man." The last line is something I once spontaneously said in college. |
