Introduction	"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr. After 9/11 I felt a strong desire to create a world flag to honor humanity's shared essence and the sacredness of all life- one that would symbolize a world based on justice and love rather than violence and fear. This is the one and only image that came to me. The blue earth is glowing in ecological health, people of all races, nations, faiths and beliefs are standing in equality and harmony, the moon above is reminding us of our intuition and deepest knowing and the sun below is symbolizing the dawn of the new era we are entering.
