GUZMAN-ARIZA is the senior partner of Guzman Ariza, a Dominican Republic law firm of 28 lawyers known to be first and only national law firm in the country, with offices in Santo Domingo, Sosua, Las Terrenas, Samana, San Francisco and Punta Cana. Mr. Guzmán is a graduate of M.I.T. (B.S., 1973) and of PUCMM (LL.B., summa cum laude, 1981). He is a former professor of Civil Law and Dean of the Law Faculty at Universidad Nordestana. In 1987, he was elected Judge of the Disciplinary Committee of the Dominican Bar. Mr. Guzmán is President of Editora Judicial, the leading legal publisher in the Dominican Republic.
