| Introduction | Writing is what gets me up in the morning -- that, and a big cup of coffee. I've written just about everything -- books, magazine and newspaper articles, and personal essays. My new book releases in February 2020, "Women Win the Vote! 19 for the 19th Amendment" from Norton Young Readers. The very first article I wrote appeared in my college newspaper, The Penn State Daily Collegian. I reported on the theft of beer mugs from a downtown bar. It wasn't quite the stellar start I had hoped for -- not to mention that it made my parents question their financial commitment to my education -- but it's all been uphill from there. |
