| Introduction | Thirty years ago, without forethought or knowledge of modern medicine, circumstance set me on a course to become a Registered Nurse. Within five years of graduation from school I found myself with a severe, immobilizing back injury. Thus began a 25-year study of the available literature and observation of generations of clients as well as personal experience and experiment. What had started as an attempt to fix my back evolved into a comprehensive study of the way the human body works as a whole. After 25 years, I’ve found nothing to contradict or disprove the principles presented in this postural owner’s manual for the human body. So I don’t think I’m rushing into print. I believe this is the most understandable explanation of the dynamics of posture you will find. Therefore, I introduce these principles and methodologies of body mechanics with a high degree of confidence in their accuracy, safety and predictability of outcome. I think you will find the logic and soundness of the views persuasive and understandable, regardless of your education or background. |
