| Introduction | My name is Marc Cohen and I was born here in Baltimore. I attended the University of Maryland and graduated with a BS in zoology and science education. Animals have always been my first love. Upon graduation I taught life science at the Jemicey School in Owings mills. I left Jemicey to start a business called Safari Party. For nearly 14 years I brought live exotic animals to schools and birthday parties. Although it was a great concept and kids loved it, it was not the best way to make a living. When I opened my pest control business many joked that I had turned to the dark side. In fact many of the animals I now exterminate I once used as educational animals. Safari Party had quite a snake collection and an entire insect room. Additionally I had a bat colony and I used to breed mice to feed the snakes. My animal background has given me a unique insight into how pest species behave and therefore do a better job of sizing up a pest problem then other exterminators. |
