| Introduction | Oscar Wildedog (OWD) is my muse, the little guy who sits on my shoulder who steers my ship, opens my mind, keeps me honest, hones my skepticism, and funnels my thoughts. OWD is the proxy for an an advancing middle-aged, well-read, adequately versed and extremely interested guy tuned into the present, cognizant of the past and eager about the future. Dog loves discussing the concepts of change, risk and certainty, for he fully believes we haven't learned from our past - e.g, Vietnam, past recessions, the current economic crisis, etc. In fact, he will sometimes delve into economic and political behavioralism, for the way people think and act goes a long way to explaining away the strange and puzzling things we read, view and hear about most every day. Oftimes, OWD will be musing about where he's been, where he would like to visit or live, his investment and trading life, his likes and dislikes, reminisces, and many other topics sure to interest. Not driven by any secular, political or religious sway, OWD hopes to enable his readers to understand and appreciate his views, opening their minds to a 21st century narrative with a '60's twist. |
