About me

Industry Education
Occupation Outdoor Educator
Location Nomad
Introduction I'm an American Environmentalist- an outdoor enthusiast with a passion for teaching and a compulsion to create curriculum. I live in a one bedroom house in a park, aka the goldfish bowl. I work tirelessly for a non-profit that brings students of all ages out into the wilderness and teaches camping skills, confidence, community building and environmental ethic. I'm a vegan dumpster-diver bike-commuter that buys everything but underwear from thrift stores, tries not to throw anything away and has never owned an electronic that starts with the letter i. Most importantly, I live fully and passionately, and I over-analyze and examine many of my daily decisions, comparing my life with others, and wondering. That's what this blog is all about-- posing questions that don't always have easy answers if they have answers at all. If this blog serves to show somebody that a life without a TV, two cars, debt, or frequent trips to target is worth living (even if it means weekly walks to the compost pile, sweating in the sun and being responsible for 20 kids who don't know how to put on sunscreen), then I have achieved my goal.
