| Introduction | Pioneer Woman is the name given to me by my cousins when I moved back to Kansas after thirty years in Seattle. Because I grew up here among farming people, I still think I can do anything the pioneers could do, and that any problem can be solved by imagining the solution, then doing what you imagined. Yes, this frequently gets me into trouble because I am always trying to do something I don't know how to do. I received an undeniable calling to the ordained ministry of the Episcopal Church, and began this blog when I was made a Postulant. Since then I have been trying to discern what that means and to grow into my calling. The hardest part, for Pioneer Woman, was to give over her self-will to God's will. It was the most difficult thing I ever have done. But I have done it; I am now a priest, recently called to serve three congregations in the southwestern region of the Diocese of Western Kansas. I am resuming the blog, and will be sharing events of my new life in Western Kansas. |
