| Introduction | Gabrielle Orcha graduated magna cum laude in 2006 with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts and a Dance minor from Boston University. She has choreographed a nine month national tour, the world premier of Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel’s unpublished play, and has performed her work at the Kennedy Center. “This has not been an easy task, for the act of transmission is a delicate and noble one. How do I represent? How do I do justice?... To the text, to the timeless discussion, to the lineage; for I stand on the shoulders' of giants as I carry on this two thousand year tradition of investigation and response. I want to make the leaders from days of old proud. And I want to give contemporary audiences an infusion, because this tradition is vital, and pulsing, and ready.” |
