| Introduction | I've been a newspaper reporter, editor, Moscow correspondent and Washington bureau chief for the Chicago Tribune and the Baltimore Sun, and a journalism teacher at Northwestern University. Before all that I was a tank platoon leader in Germany. I began this blog while writing an historical novel. I won’t tell you much about the novel yet except that it’s about war and diplomacy and vizsla dogs. And human nature and redemption. And history. Lots of history. It’s based on real events and real people. The manuscript is finished as are three major revisions. But I’ll keep blogging, so stick around and feel free to comment. |
