| Introduction | Qualified in medicine and surgery 1970; PhD, St. Thomas’s Hospital Medical School, 1978; research fellow in experimental neurosurgery, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden, 1985-6. FAANOS Fellow of the American Academy of Neurological & Orthopedic Surgeons, 1989; Certificate Management and Leadership, 1991; DPH, 1999; FFPH Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, UK, 2002, Professor of Neurosciences and Primary Health Care since 1991; founding dean of medicine (Tikrit University 1988-1997 and Hadhramout University 1997-2000) then joined World Health Organization as regional advisor and coordinator HRH and medical education in 2000 till retirement in 2009 when became Hon Lecturer, WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training, Department of Primary Care & Public Health, Imperial College London. Also acts as expert & adviser to Global Health Workforce Alliance of WHO, Geneve, 2009-present. I have and still making consultations to countries in Middle East, Africa, South East Asia and West pacific. |
