| Introduction | I'm the crazy snail lady who found a large snail when I bought a plant from Home Depot, and then not only made that snail a 10 gallon habitat complete with plants, potting soil, and dishes of fresh vegetables- I also went back to the Home Depot every weekend for 3 weeks searching for a friend for "Gary" the snail. And yes, I found one (Mary). Gary and Mary started a few generations of snails that are now shared throughout classrooms and homes in our community! Snails make great pets, by the way. They are quiet, eat vegetables, and are happy with some potting soil and a few mists of water per day. Are you looking for some snails for your classroom? Please stop by mine and I will share a couple or a couple of dozen with you. Have I mentioned they are also prolific? Besides being a crazy snail lady, I am an early childhood special education teacher, a mom, a wife, and animal lover, and a science junkie. |
