Introduction	Educational Qualifications: M.A (Drawing & Painting) 1987 Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur,(MP) PG Diploma (Two Year) Commercial Arts 1989 ,Maharishi Mahila Education Society, Jabalpur Certificate Course in Graphic Designing 2006, Chandigarh Held eleven solo shows national and internationally, participated in several group shows, art fairs and workshops in Jabalpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Maldives, Dubai and New York. Shashi's work offers an entirely new perspective on the Sea, making us view the Sea as a living entity.She believes that at the ultimate level, the universe is made up of cosmic waves and vibrations. These cosmic energies are constantly flowing, merging and unraveling. Invariably, her works contain these cosmic energies. Her paintings embody these waves of the Sea and vibrations of the Sun; the two primal forces of Water and Fire. The Sea is the enigmatic female figure, whose waking hours are spent in the company of her lover, the Sun. At times, they are entwined in a passionate embrace, and at others they convey a desperate yearning when separated. Shashi’s paintings explore the beauty of the Sea.
