| Introduction | An accomplished artist who, today, works mainly with oils. His paintings reflect the subtle qualities of the fine art tradition. The works are prized, for their inner vitality, by collectors and interior designers alike. Born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He developed an interest in fine art very early in his life. Attended drawing and painting lessons during his primary school education. Continued his education with a focused interest on the visual arts, after having immigrated to the US. Major influences were teachers who had studied directly under: Brackman, Loomis and Bridgman. Although painting and fine art remained his passion, he decided to pursue a career in marketing and advertising. Began working as a Commercial Artist, Art Director, Graphic Designer and Creative Director for various advertising firms. His first major assignment came in 1968 with a corporate image (logo) design for a food cooperative, and ending his career, in the commercial arts, with another major assignment, the initial Salt Lake City Olympic bid book design, in 1998. Lo, now, paints full time. |
