Introduction | My name is Wisnu T Hanggoro. I am an independent researcher and consultant for media development. I do it after for five years (2011-2016) working as the journalism development program manager at Southeast Asian Press Alliance in Bangkok, Thailand. Previously, in 2010-2011, I managed a joint project of the Radio Netherland Training Center (RNTC) and School for Broadcast Media (SBM) for developing the network of Radio Netherland I Indonesia. I did such a job just after for several months accomplishing a position as the research coordinator on freedom of information for a joint project conducted by the Tifa Foundation and the Article19. My first career was a lecturer at SWCU - Salatiga, Indonesia, in 1985 – 1996. I worked as director of PT Krisnadi Wibawa, Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1996 - 1999. In 1999 I became the co-founder and first executive director of the Institute for the Studies on Press and Information (LeSPI). I graduated in philosophy from Gadjah Mada University in 1985. I obtained my first master degree in Worldview Studies (1994) and my second master degree in Interdisciplinary Studies [with focus on Philosophy of Education (1996)] from ICS, Toronto, Canada. |
