| Introduction | WESLEY WOLVERINE SOFTBALL is set to play 39 games this 2014 season prior to eligibility for NCAA/ CAC tournament games. The team will hold a home field advantage 14 times, while traveling to 10 distant venues for 25 more contests. DUPONT SOFTBALL FIELD: Located at Wesley West Gymnasium, 500 Mary Street, Dover, DE, DuPont Softball Field has seating for 100 fans. In addition to serving as the home of Wesley College softball, the field has been used by the Special Olympics........... THE WESLEY WOLVERINE: Dating back to the 1950s, Wesley's mascot was the whippet. Today, however, it is a feisty wolverine. A wolverine is nothing like a “wolf”. Instead, it more closely resembles a small bear. The wolverine has a reputation for ferocity and strength out of proportion to its size, with the documented ability to defend itself against prey many times larger than itself. |
