| Introduction | In 2010, Peter Mark left Virginia Opera to begin the next act in his illustrious career. *1978-2010: Founding General and Artistic Director of Virginia Opera. Maestro Mark conducted his 100th Virginia Opera production – Il Trovatore – last season and a total of 700 highly-successful performances during his career.
