Introduction I am a second-year Master's candidate in the History department at Clemson University. After receiving my Bachelor's degrees in English and History from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2004, I worked as a research editor and educator in Louisville, Kentucky, and East Lansing, Michigan, respectively. My primary academic interests include the intellectual and cultural history of late medieval and early modern Europe, the history and philosophy of late medieval and early modern science, the relationship between science and religion (of all eras, but most specifically, the relationship between the institutional Church and Scientific Revolution-era natural philosophers as well as the epistemological relationship between reason and faith), the history of proto-sciences such as astrology and alchemy, Jungian psychology, and synchronicity. I think I have a paradoxical personality: I'm introverted yet social, analytical yet intuitive, rationalist but with a keen interest in spirituality. I'm confused more often than not, but I think that's because I think too much about everything all the time. Sometimes, I like questions more than answers. This blog is about questions...
