About me

Industry Maritime
Occupation Boating/ Cruising Consultant
Introduction I suppose I was born to be on the water. The masts for the USS Constitution came from land that belonged to my mother's family. My father's family owned and sailed a fleet of three masted Grand Banks schooners. I am proud to come from a long line of fishermen, sailors, tugboat captains, (a smuggler), boatbuilders, and master mariners. Maybe even a pirate, or two! At nine, My father bought me an old 12' sloop. Everyday after school and on weekends, I was on the water. At sixteen, I got a 22' sloop and started doing overnight trips. Soon I was cruising offshore. I've built boats and crewed on a square rigger. I've taught classes on basic seamanship, coastal navigation and boat repair. Presently, I am getting ready to retire, and cruise the Caribbean with my beautiful wife.
