| Introduction | I had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) surgery on February 23, 2011. VSG is a weight loss procedure resulting in the removal of 85% of my stomach. Some of you may ask or wonder why I did it, some of you may even think I'm nuts, but the decision I made is between God, my surgeon and me. I'm very happy and have no regrets, but my surgery failed because food is my addiction. It's a problem that I need to face head on and deal with. I’m an addict that uses food like an alcoholic uses alcohol. I know a little about why I do it, but I have issues that go beyond the surface. I’m hoping that writing this blog will help me seek the answers I’m looking for. |
