About me

Gender Female
Location Fairfax, Virginia, United States
Introduction I graduated with a Biology degree in 2004 and then spent four years working in engineering. During that time I went on two mission trips to Kenya and Rwanda. It is through the hope of God’s love and His sovereignty that I find my passion, desire and strength to continue my journey in outreach to the world. For two years I served as full-time staff with Youth for Christ in George, South Africa. In George, I was involved in two ministries which strive to build relationships and bring people together through the love of Jesus Christ. I served at York High School as a counselor, mentor and leader of the GOLD Peer Education program. I walked along side grade 9, 10 and 11 students educating them and helping them make informed decisions on teen issues. I also served as a pregnancy counselor at Options Care Centre which specializes in crisis pregnancy and HIV counseling and support. As part of my job at Options I also assisted with our breastfeeding support ministry in the local hospital and lead a Teen Moms program in the Thembalethu township. Now that I'm back home in the States, I'm looking forward to continuing my education in Biblical studies and counseling.
