| Introduction | We have been married for 35 years and have 3 children, 4 grandchildren (with 1 on the way due in Aug. 2008). We are so thankful for everything God has done (and is doing) in our lives. We came to the knowledge of the Gospel in our mid twenties and invited Jesus into our lives. We have never been the same since and began to learn what true freedom really is. After walking away from our seemingly secure life in Colorado in 1997, we trained in Darwin, Aus. and began our service in Papua New Guinea in April 1998 finishing in Aug. 2004. In PNG the bulk of our focus was to establish a youth targeted Christian radio station called "LIFE FM" which is now being run by PNG nationals. The 3 years following we served at Crossnore School Inc. NC serving children from families in crisis. We have now stepped out into a new chapter in our lives to serve Tiwi Aboriginal youth at Tiwi College on Melville Island, Northern Territory, Australia. At Tiwi College we will serve as house parents to 12 students while they attend the school. Our duties will be many as we tend for the students needs, spirit, soul and body and also serve as needed on the campus and around the islands aboriginal communities. |
