Introduction | Paul Xylinides is my pen-name drawn from the identity that my Russian grandfather fashioned for himself after escaping to Greece from the revolution in his home country at the beginning of the past century. He died soon after and nothing else is known about him, including his real name, but the family exists and, essentially, came into being because of the choices he made during a time of historic upheaval. I am a life-long writer, who lives in Montreal, graduate of McGill University (M.A. in English literature). In my work, I find myself drawn to real life philosophical questions and decisions and their effects upon my characters who are challenged by the predicaments that society in general faces. I have completed three works of literary fiction, the first of them self-published - The Confessor-Designate. My second novel The Professor And The Eunuch is a fictional memoir that is awaiting final revision. My third recently completed novel is The Wild Horses Of Hiroshima, awaiting publication. I am currently working on a futuristic literary novel with the working title The Blade-Runner Amendment. |
