| Introduction | I am a fourth generation automobile dealer. My great grandfather started a Chevrolet dealership in Chicago after serving in WWI. My grandfather expanded out of Chicago into Joliet, Illinois with a Ford franchise. He later moved to Tucson, AZ and started an Oldsmobile dealership which is now home to Subaru. In 1975 my father got his start with an Oldsmobile franchise in Lakewood, CO. He grew this single point into 9 dealerships in the Denver Metro Area. In 1997 the Emich dealerships in Colorado were sold to AutoNation along with Chesrown’s and John Elway’s to create John Elway AutoNation which is now Go. In July of 2006 my father, Bob Colbert (Partner), and myself purchased Luby Chevrolet from Group1 Automotive and started Emich Chevrolet. In October of the same year we purchase Mountain States Volkswagen from Sonic Automotive and started Emich Volkswagen. |
