| Introduction | My name is Meri, a/k/a Gumma. I fall into that wonderful 50 something category. I am a mom to a soon to be 27 year old daughter and 22 year old son. I also am mom to my 34 year old goddaughter and grandmother to her 4 amazing children (they all call me "Gumma" which my goddaughter started as a baby (hence the name) and it has stuck for the past 34 years). I worked in the legal field for many years, but after being diagnosed with MS 23 years ago, the time has come that I no longer work. Crafting is most definitely theraputic and I find there is no better way to maintain a healthy mindset. I have been an avid crafter for many years and have rediscovered my love for it. My goddaughter got me into scrapbooking about 7 years ago and was immediately hooked, but then branched out to more. I enjoy all altered projects and lean towards the vintage, shabby chic style, but I do not limit myself to just that. I am open to any new styles and concepts that come my way. I am joining the blogger community after being introduced to You Tube and all the absolutely amazing people I have encountered there and the friendships that I have made. All in all life is good and I am truely Blessed. |
