Introduction | A fitness professional: personal trainer, group exercise instructor, strength coach and educator, for over ten years I am very fortunate to be able to make a living helping others improve their lives through exercise. My certifications are from the American Council on Exercise--Certified Personal Trainer, the National Academy of Sports Medicine--Certified Personal Trainer, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association--Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I also have a MS in Exercise Science and a BA in Political Science/Economics--which I why I sometimes pontificate on progressive political issues. Currently I work for the American Council on Exercise as an Exercise Physiologist meaning that I write and teach education programs to personal trainers and fitness professionals. Previous jobs were Education Director for the Sports Club/LA (Millennium Partners), Senior Faculty and Master Personal Trainer for the Washington Sports Clubs, and some political stuff before I got into the fitness industry. |
