| Introduction | This blog is dedicated to my mother, Mary Duffy. We were going to write a book together, but never got around to it. We were too busy...or something. I’ve called my blog Halcyon Road because I love old, dated words. Halcyon may not yet be an entry in the Dictionary of Lost Words, but it must be on the waiting list. Halcyon is a romantic word for me. It evokes wonderful memories of visits to my grandparents' house on Halcyon Road. |
