Introduction I am a writer based in Trim County Meath and I have written twelve books so far on life in the county. These books include Poetry, Local History and Short stories.To date I have won 40 awards for literature. These include the Poet of Fingal trophy in 2005 2006 and 2010, The Tom o'Shea Trophy in 2004, the Nora Fahy Award The Gerard Manly Hopkins Certificate of Merit, The Patrick Kavanagh Memorial Award, The Drogheda Mental Health Award, and others, I have also picked up awards at Armagh, Monasteravin, Strokestown. Edgeworthstown, Killiney, Dundalk, Drogheda, Swords, Ennis, Inchicore, Kells, Trim, Etc. I have also been published in the following magazines, The Drumlin, Crannog,Revival Riverine,The Edgeworth Papers Fortnight,The Ratpit, The Bray Arts Journal, Stroan and the Dundalk Democrat Anthology and most recently the Longford website 'Virtual Writer' Over the years i have given readings in a number of high profile venues including The National Concert Hall, The Westin Hotel, The Iontas Centre Castleblaney, The Armagh City Hotel The Percy French Hotel Strokestown,The Imperial Hotel Dundalk,at Listowel Writer's Week and several other venues throughout the country.
Interests Literature particularly the works of Thomas Hardy, I am fascinated by the paintings of John Yeend King
