About me

Introduction When I was a child my mother taught me to knit. At the age of 13 I entered a knitting contest and won 1st place in the “Not So Useful” category with my entry of a knitted breakfast. I won $50 and had my pattern published in the book Kids Knit, and I’ve been making “not so useful” things ever since. I began crocheting when I was pregnant with my first child. I wanted to make a beautiful baby blanket I saw the pattern for, but I needed to know how to crochet to do so. I decided to learn and now I’m hooked (har har)! Crochet is my favorite (and let's be honest, best) skill...but I'm working on improving my sewing, and I love just about anything that lets me create and have fun.
