| Introduction | Why TreeHouse? I volunteered at a TreeHouse in 1999. It was a powerful experience in my life, connecting with teens who were so real and open. But I had to leave when I went into full time ministry at Grace Church in Edina as the minister to young adults and singles. In August 2005, I ran into the TreeHouse directors. I did a site visit at the Minnetonka TreeHouse and was reintroduced to this great organization. As I sat in a support group and heard youth share about their hurts and struggles, I was moved to tears. I fell in love with these kids and realized that the mission of TH fits with my passion to help those in need of love and acceptance. TH does an amazing job at creating a safe, inviting environment for kids to belong and to grow. I joined the staff in November 2005 and now am in a new role as a Regional Director, overseeing two locations. I spend about half of my time doing community development work in Bloomington and Chaska and half of my time overseeing program, mentoring teens and managing staff.
