| Introduction | My name is Stephanie. I work for a well known insurance company as a recruiter/HR type. I spend most of my day reading resumes, so I see a lot of stupid crap. I know the economy and the job market is tough right now, but after 5 years of reading the insane junk that comes across my desk, I am convinced half of America is unemployed because of how they represent themselves to potential employers on paper. What started out as "Stephanie's Resume Roasts" on my Facebook page has evolved into this blog- Best. Resume. Ever. Tune in frequently for some mind-numbing, head scratching, rib tickling excerpts I will post for everyone's amusement. Disclaimer: all of these posts are legitimate, none of them are made up. (I am creative, but not THAT creative.) Some pieces are taken from cover letters, personal emails to me accompanying the resumes or just the resumes themselves. I never divulge names in the interest of privacy for the idiots. Cuz I'm cool like that. |
| Interests | Aside from making fun of people's resumes- I love sailing and anything to do with boats, had a past life as a part print shop owner, am a mommy of a teenage daughter I'm trying really hard not to f**k up too badly, and I'm an avid reader and aspiring writer. I also fix people's resumes so they don't end up as blog fodder! |
