Interests I am a young adult pastor serving Midway Memorial UMC & Prospect UMC, which are both in Gate City, VA. My name is Brad Stapleton, and I am an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. I am married to my lovely wife Rebecca, and we are blessed to have two wonderful daughters, Felicity and Paige. Rebecca and I enjoy traveling, exercising such as running and cycling, and watching the Vols play! I am a Southwest Virginia native, being born and raised in Big Stone Gap. Shortly after graduating from the University of Tennessee, the Holy Spirit called me into ministry. Answering the call, I continued my studies at Asbury Theological Seminary, where I earned my Master of Divinity degree in 2010. I have a passion for evangelism, social justice, mission outreach (both local and international), and a deep love for the study of scripture. The Holy Spirit is preparing me for future opportunities in Spanish language outreach. Currently, I serve on the Holston Conference Hispanic & Latino Ministries Committee, Big Stone Gap District Finance Committee, Big Stone Gap District Discipleship Team, and the Fort Blackmore Methodist Camp Board of Directors. I am also excited to be the Big Stone Gap District Coordinator of Youth Ministries. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to join in what God is doing at Midway UMC & Prospect UMC, regardless of your past or where you currently are in your spiritual journey. The people here are friendly, welcoming, and actively involved in ministry. Come and join us! May God’s blessings and peace be with you!
