About me

Introduction	Currently, I am a student at the University of Cincinnati in the Masters of Secondary Education, Integrated Science program. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences in 2009. So in the time that I was out of school, I worked as a pharmacy technician and later, as a QC Chemist. Working as a chemist was pretty dangerous because I was working mostly with raw chemicals. I decided that this is not what I wanted to do forever. I always enjoyed training people and have always thought of becoming a teacher. So, when I discovered what a job with my degree was like, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher. I quit my job and took a part-time job at Starbucks and entered this program. My dad is a professor at UC so I guess being a teacher kind of runs in the family. I am really excited about beginning this new chapter and I hope some of the topics, ideas and comments I post on this blog can expand and widen people's view of K12 education in this country.
