Introduction	I retired in December 2006 as an administrator and teacher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the Department of History. Since then I have taken students to Turkey and Italy, gone to a camp for beginning women cyclists in North Carolina, and this year I have been to Morocco and spent five weeks this summer in Venice.
Interests	We just took a river cruise on the Rhine and are thinking about next year's trips. I plan to devote time to biking, traveling, knitting, and writing--but most importantly spending more time with my husband and my new cats.
Favorite movies	Chariots of Fire, Love Actually,The African Queen, all the Thin Man movies
Favorite music	My favorites in music are Medieval,Renaissance,a lot of Bach and Mozart, especially Don Giovanni, also Rossini's Barber ofSeville. I also like Francis Cabrel, Simon and Garfunkle and a lot of late sixties and seventies pop and rock.
Favorite books	My favorite genre for reading is mysteries. As far as books and authors, anything by Jane Austen, Bleak House and Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens, Tolstoy's War and Peace, and anything by Agatha Christie, Michael Dibdin, Magdalen Nabb, Deborah Crombie, Andrea Camilleri and Donna Leon.

Your pajamas have duckies on them. Why did you switch from choo-choos?

My cats prefer the ducks. They hate chasing trains but they love to eat duck.
