Introduction | I was born into your average middle-class warm, loving family and always knew I would some day, have to look into my past. I also knew I had aboriginal blood in my veins and wanted to find out more about my ancestors than just their names. It turns out, my father's side is genuine Metis (Cree/Scot)from the dawning of Red River in Manitoba and my mother's side is Sto:lo. No wonder I looked so different! What a rich history... I can't wait to get it all entered here. I've always had an interest in learning and history which paved the way a long time ago for me to start making handmade soap (which I still do), working raw wool and playing musical instruments! I've recently (last 5 years or so) been interested in native languages and learned my ancestors spoke several... my profile name is Chinook Jargon for 'Forever Young'. |
