| Introduction | My name is Jessica Miller-Epps, and I love food! Food and I go waaaay back! Food has been there for me, as a friend and comforter, through life's ups and downs. It has attended every family, social and business gathering with me. Come to think of it, it has crashed a few pity parties as well. To be perfectly honest it has been more of a comforter than a friend. Hmmm...has food become a god in my life? I eat when I'm happy! I eat when I'm sad! I eat just because its there. Have you ever heard these saying, " you shouldn't bite off more than you can chew", or "your eyes are bigger than your stomach"? Well, I have not taken heed to this wisdom and consequently I have suffered the punishment of over indulgence. At this point in my life, I find myself over weight, unhealthy, depressed about it and seeking His wisdom. This blog is about what God is teaching me about my body, my spirit and my mind, and the role that the consumption of food plays in my life. Join me as I mature in this marvelous walk of life that God has provided us. Give me this day my daily bread....... |
