Introduction	Hey everybody!! I'm Mercy May! Thank you for visiting my (website/blog) and taking an interest in my condition. I was born with a liver disease called BILIARY ATRESIA which basically means that my bile ducts didn't form properly or don't work the way they should. It is extremely rare, so rare doctors aren't even sure what causes it. The only treatment for my disease is surgery. I've had three so far. Surgery does not cure my disease, it simply improves my condition temporarily. It is very likely that I will spend time in the hospital occasionally and I'm really hoping I do not have to have a liver transplant down the road.
