I grew up in a Zapotec Indian village since 1951, then became a doctor at the UNAM. My husband, Dave Gutierrez, and I lived in another Zapotec village, Loxicha, from 1975 until 1995, doing community service and running a medical clinic. Since 1984 we have worked with Gospel Recordings, preparing and distributing evangelical material for the ethnic groups of Latin America. I have traveled in many South American countries, and visited Singapore and Spain. From 1993 I was the adoptive mother of a severly handicapped child, Esperanza, who died in 2004, from complications of VACTERL syndrome. I also have 3 grown children, Isaiah and Tava, who are 28, and Gabriel, who is 25. Recently I have been writing some stories that I want to share. I hope you like them.
