| Introduction | I am a wildlife biologist by education (with a Master's degree) and also trained in the paleontology (fossils) of the Ice Ages (another Master's). Unfortunately, real life is not rife with jobs in either field, but I have had marvelous positions as: self-employed small business owner, museum collections manager, and county supervisor (an elected position). In December of 2008 I formally retired...but it didn't stick! Between April of 2009 and April of 2010, I moved our alpaca farm three times: to Montana, back to Arizona for the winter, then back to Montana. In July of 2010, Don was able to join me here in Montana and we have been working on this new ranch near Lewistown ever since. Thanks to the economy, I have had to go back to work, but luckily found a good job as editor of the local newspaper, the Lewistown News-Argus. I also edit Alpacas Magazine. And work on the ranch. It's busy but never dull! |
