Introduction	I started this blog in February of 2009 as a way to document my daily painting process and to share my journey into the art world. Although I only started painting about six years ago, I've always been interested in art and did lots of drawing growing up. Fortunately, living in Phoenix, I'm very close to the Scottsdale Artists School and I'm able take classes and workshops year round. I've been able to study with some of the country's best artists and the art scene in Scottsdale/Phoenix is one of the best around. Most of my paintings will be done in Plein Air; while occasionally working from photos(mostly during summer). I enjoy painting the American Southwest but plan on doing some traveling to paint other locales as well. I also plan to do some still life and figure work, particularly during the summer when it's extremely hot! Many paintings will be 8x10 or smaller, but I will occasionally make larger works available too. Please feel free to leave comments/suggestions and I hope you enjoy.

Favorite movies	Too many to name, but some of my favorite actors are Marlon Brando, Robert Deniro, Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Don Cheadle, Leo Dicaprio.
Favorite music	All kinds...For example, some of my favorite all time artists are Frank Sinatra, Barry White, Ice Cube and The Rolling Stones.
Favorite books	Anything art, mysteries, biographies, history.
