| Introduction | Kripa Radhakrishnan was born and raised in India. She has been interested in learning various forms of art since childhood. She has formal training in Indian classical dances such as Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Indian classical music. The training contributes to the narrative approach to storytelling in her painting, sculpture, installation and performing arts. She completed M.F.A in Studio Arts at CUNY, City College of New York with the Eggers Award (Art Alumni Award – 2019). She also received the 2017-2019 Therese McCabe Ralston Connor Tuition Merit Award and the 2018 Therese McCabe Ralston Connor Tuition Award. In 2017, Kripa completed her B.V.A. at Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University, Mumbai, with a Mahendra M Nanavati Gold Medal. Kripa has also received a number of national and international awards. |
