| Introduction | I am retired (could mean tired all over again, or more likely now with a new set of tires off and running!) as of 2007. I have published a book of poetry in 2014 entitled Pine Cones and Small Stones, and I am still writing poetry and working on writing a Young Adult story based in the Arctic. I am a cancer survivor, and still suffering Stage 4 renal cell carcinoma (kidney cancer) - a tumour on my sacrum at the bottom of my spine has begun growing again, slowly. Taking immunotherapy to fix that, hopefully. AND I use selected natural healing protocols as well as medical treatment - otherwise I would not be alive today. Twice I had eight months to live according to statistics. But that was at times since 5 years ago when I had a 6-hour cancer operation. |
| Interests | Writing (fiction, memoir, poetry); permafrost research and engineering; climate change in the Arctic; astrophysics. |
| Favorite books | Tolkien's many stories short and long, the Harry Potter series, and other young adult novels. |
