IntroductionI guess I am one of those intellectual types of brothers, you know the kind that's always asking questions and buried in some obscure book. To misquote Michael Eric Dyson, I have learned to celebrate my nerdom. Not all us can dunk a basketball or sing gracefully; some of us are forced to rely on the skills we naturally possess. For me, the unexamined life is not worth living. I must say that I am here to develop my critical reasoning skills and to practice my craft. I see myself as a burgeoning Black American Christian cultural critic. I am especially interested in looking at issues relevant to Black Americans from within a Christian framework. I have other interests as well. My favorite topics are race, religion, and politics. I am here to dialogue with all critically minded people regardless of race or ethnic identification or faith orientation. Even so, my main focus is the spiritual and material needs of Black America. Come let us reason together.
