| Introduction | I teach 8th grade English at Sumner Academy of Arts & Science in Kansas City, KS. I just started my 36th year of teaching, and my newest hobby/pastime is piecing quilt tops. I have now made quilts for all 5 of my grandchildren, as well as one for the 6th, who will be born this fall! When showing some of these "creations" to my colleagues this past year, it became clear that some of them would like to also make a quilt, so the "Sumner Quilt Club" was born! Hopefully we will find a way to continue after school starts! |
