| Introduction | I’m a teacher, freelance writer and acting student in Portland, Ore., and I’ve worked in a bunch of customer service jobs. Born in Newport, R.I., I’ve hitchhiked cross country, lived in several different states, including Oregon, Washington and California. I’ve spent more than half my life on the West Coast, where, eventually, I plan to die. I'm also a former newspaper guy who's edited some community newspapers, written an unpublished novel, and am self publishing a nonfiction book, "Correct Me If I’m Right: A Brainiac’s Misadventures in Retail." I started teaching myself acoustic guitar about a year ago, and am addicted and not too bad. I can play Beatles, Skynyrd, Steely Dan, and Allman Bros. But I’m dating myself. I’m married with four cats and a sweet, lazy black Lab. |
